Message from the President

It is my honor to serve as the President of the Scholarly Pearls Foundation; a non-profit public benefit corporation established in November 2019. Our name is a reflection of the key initiatives we hope to accomplish in our early years; engaging and creating opportunities for educational access and excellence for students from underserved communities and underrepresented groups. The pearl represents a beautiful gemstone that reflects access, excellence and beauty. Our founding Board of Directors is a group of community stalwarts who are actively involved in numerous programs to support these endeavors and bring experience and passion to our non-profit.  The Scholarly Pearls Foundation’s primary goal is to raise funds to provide opportunities for students to achieve their dream of higher educational excellence at an accredited university by partnering with other non-profits and the communities we serve. Our outreach and programming will also provide workshops and mentoring to assist in scholarly pursuits.

Through my own personal journey, I’ve seen the importance of educational support and the great successes achieved when we all join together to support one another. I am from a family of educators and had the benefit of truly understanding the importance of scholarly pursuits.  Obtaining my college degree provided me the privilege of having a prominent career in educational publishing. My deep exposure to the educational field has fueled my belief that all who desire academic success, should have that opportunity. I will work tirelessly alongside my board members to generate the resources necessary to make dreams come true. Pundits have noted that due to the COVID-19 pandemic it will take anywhere from 5 – 10 years for our society to recover from the devastating economic and educational impact of this worldwide pandemic. The Scholarly Pearls Foundation will work to reduce the impact of these losses in any way that we can. We look forward to partnering with you to make a difference for our community.

Thank you in advance for your support and the opportunity for partnerships as we seek to accomplish our present and future goals.

Warm Regards,

Lillian Carr

President, Scholarly Pearls Foundation
